Equity as Action: Creating More Equitable Programs and Practices—Key Mechanisms for Equity (Part 3 of 3)

  • Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) 2324 University Avenue West Saint Paul, MN, 55114 United States (map)

Continue to develop new ways to put your values into action by assessing a specific area of your work through an equity lens.

In this workshop, we will discuss three key mechanisms for equity, and apply them to a real-world challenge you are working on right now. Come with a specific area of your work in mind to address— it could be an external program or an internal process—and leave with new understanding of what actions you might take to deepen the ways in which your organization shares power, access, and resources with the individuals and communities you serve.

Pre-requisite: Workshop #1—Equity As Action: What Do We DO Differently to Become More Equitable and Inclusive? (Workshop #2 recommended but not required)

Equity as Action is a three-part series that offers a framework for thinking about equity as action, an approach to implementation, and specific tools and practices for you to try within your work and organization. This workshop is Part 3 of the series.
